Ever wanted to work with animals? Or make friends with a Meerkat? Well, now you can!
Tapnell Farm Park is offering our visitors the opportunity to take part in some brilliant tailor-made animal experiences, perfect for budding animal enthusiasts.

The Animal Experiences will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from Tuesday 26 July to Wednesday 31 August.

MEERKAT & WALLABY ENCOUNTER (6+ years)

Price: £25 per person (max 4 people)
DOES NOT include Farm Park entry
Duration: 30 mins
Times of experience: 10.00am-10.30am, 11.00am-11.30am, 2.30pm-3pm and 3.30pm-4pm

What your experience includes:

Enjoy a one to one personal experience with our Mischievous Meerkats and Meerkat Pups
Feed the Wallabies and our new joeys
A friendly and experienced personal Keeper guide
Meerkat and Wallaby encounter certificate

PLEASE NOTE: Admission to the Farm Park must be booked separately if you wish to use it outside of your animal experience time.

What to expect

What to expect during your day: Upon arrival at Tapnell Farm Park you will have a quick health and safety briefing before heading out into the Farm with your experienced keeper host, who will be looking after you throughout your exciting experience.

Our Keeper host will take you through the Wallaby walkabout to introduce you to some of our mob of wallabies, then you will go along to our mischievous Meerkat enclosure where you will have the opportunity to feed our cheeky pair of meerkats, Doto and Kolo (as well as their two new adorable pups!) some of their favourite treats.

Make sure your cameras are at the ready for some great photo opportunities!

Things to know before you arrive:

Participants must be aged 6+ years old
Participants under 16 years must be supervised by an adult throughout their experience.
Participants, Spectators, including supervising adults, will need to pay Farm Park admission per person. Or you can use your Summer Season Pass.
Appropriate closed-toe footwear must be worn (trainers or wellies) and long trousers and sleeves are advised for the experience.
Please be prepared for all weather conditions; sun hats, sunscreen and waterproof gear will not be provided.
The experience itinerary, content, duration, and availability are subject to change without notice.
In the event of adverse weather conditions and cancellation, there will be an option to meet some of our furry friends instead of as an alternative experience.
Please arrive on time, we advise guests arrive at the Farm Park admission desk at least 15 minutes before the experience begins.

Bugs & Beasties Encounter (6+ years)

Price: £25 per person (max 3 people)
DOES NOT include Farm Park entry
Duration: 30 mins
Times of experience: 12noon-12.30pm and 4.30pm-5pm

What your experience includes:

Come behind the scenes to meet and learn about our creepy, scaley and six legged friends
A friendly and experienced personal Keeper guide
A personalised certificate presented at the end of your experience

PLEASE NOTE: Admission to the Farm Park must be booked separately if you wish to use it outside of your animal experience time.

What to expect

You will head straight into 'behind the scenes' territory where no-one, except for the Keepers are normally allowed! You will enter into... THE BUGS & BEASTIE room! You will be introduced and may have the chance to feed and hold some of our weird and wonderful creatures including, but not limited to, Brenda our Bearded Dragon, Colin the Madagascan Hissing Cockroach and more. This is your chance to overcome some of your fears of those four legged, six legged and even no legged friends!

Things to know before you arrive:

Participants must be aged 6+ years old
Participants under 16 years must be supervised by an adult throughout their experience.
Spectators, including supervising adults, will need to pay Farm Park admission per person. Or you can use your Summer Season Pass.
It is advised participants bring water with them due to the increased temperature in the bug room.
