The skill of using a bow and arrow for hunting or military use has been around for at least 10,000 years!! The earliest evidence of a formed arrowhead was recovered in South Africa, dating 60,000-70,000 years ago.

In more modern times, archery has gone from a form of weaponry to more of a recreational pastime.

Here at Tapnell Farm we will provide you with quality coaching to ensure you get the most from your session, whether you are a complete novice or a modern robin hood!!

Axe Throwing

Channel your inner Viking and learn the basics of target Axe throwing. Using specific throwing axes (hatchets) our instructors will coach you in the correct techniques to hit the target successfully and consistently.

The session takes place in our purpose-built range, right next door to the archery. The targets were sourced from a local wood supplier and originate from Queen Victoria’s personal Red Wood collection from Osborne house!!
